Glory Day Loflin: Heart of an Artistic Explorer

As an energetic soul, Glory’s best work is done with her hands, bringing to life her inventive and unique visions. She loves to explore space and movement; she grew to find herself enthralled in dance, theater and playwriting before choosing a different artistic passion in high school. Her first drawing and painting course during the early chapters of high school stuck with her through further education at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities and The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.

She is inspired by music, a pianist and guitarist is a plus for all who know her, as well as nature; she reminisces that her years of youth spent on many acres of wooded surroundings influence her creations more than she would have ever thought.

“My thinking process is tied to my creative process,” she says. “Exploring initially through drawing or clay, I have recently been completing my ideas in painting series. I allow my thought progression to inform how my work is made, so my method is always fluctuating to fit the idea.”

As a motivated, inquiring, fluctuating artist, Glory’s personalized artistic style is one to watch. And keep your eyes peeled because you never know what’s around the corner.
